Anyhow, there's a few apps that would screw up my resolution after they exited and rather than look into it at the moment, I just googled to see if there was a quick command to execute that would change the resolution. So I found it, added that command to my KDE menu, then made a shortcut to it (ctrl + r) so I have a push-button resolution fix, which I recommend you do as it's quite handy.
