yakuake-split 2.8.1.1 (KDE Improvement)

KDE-Apps.org - April 13, 2007 - 10:02am
Yakuake-split is a modified version of yakuke 2.7.5. It provides a split frame view within each yakuke tab window and thus uses space more efficiently on big screens. There are 4 tab options possible: Base - standart yakuake one window, Vert - vertical split, Horz - horizontal split, and Quad - 4 konsoles. The button layout is also redesigned. The menu and buttons are all moved into the tab bar and the title bar, which unnecessarily occupies vertical space, can be turned off. The program is a ...

Marble - Desktop Globe 0.3 ("Fjords") (Education)

KDE-Apps.org - April 13, 2007 - 8:47am
Early beta preview of the Marble Widget application which is targeted for KDE 4. You need to install both packages: "marble" and "marble-data" to run Marble. Marble is a generic geographical map widget that is meant to be used by KDE4 applications. It shows the earth as a sphere but doesn't make use of any hardware acceleration (No OpenGL). So although it might look similar to professional applications like Google Earth or Nasa World Wind it's rather meant to be a small light weight multi ...

aControl 0.9 (Other Utility)

KDE-Apps.org - April 12, 2007 - 11:17pm
This is a simple script that started out as a way for me to control Amarok from within XChat. It can do most of the basic controls now as well as show your current playing. It also is good if you want basic controls from the command line. Not version 1 because I feel it should still have more functionality. Special Thanks to Lady_Cuddles for the script it was based off.

QTM 0.5.1.1 (Web Application)

KDE-Apps.org - April 12, 2007 - 12:14pm
Catkin QTM is a blog management app which uses the Blogger, MetaWeblog and Movable Type APIs to submit and (in the future) edit and otherwise manage entries on a blog. Presently, however, it is possible to compose, format, preview and submit entries, in one or more categories, and edit newly submitted entries. Requires Qt 4.1 (however, due to an oversight on my part, the .gz source package requires Qt 4.2 to build; grab the source RPM if you use Qt 4.1). This is by the same author as the Catk...

QLandkarte 0.4.0 (Scientific)

KDE-Apps.org - April 12, 2007 - 8:02am
Garmin's MapSource software is hardly the only reason for me to boot into Windows and it does not look like Garmin ever wants to address Linux users by writing a portable piece of software. So I started to help myself. I found several tools like GPSBabel or sendmap to handle data for my GPS receiver but no tool to visualize and manage this data in a decent way. On my quest I found a specification of the used IMG format for maps at Sourceforge. After some reading and toying around I considered th...

KTrafficAnalyzer is meant to provide visual feedback of your current network traffic, similar to tools like DU-Meter. In addition it provides statistics with total down- and upload sums. Of course feedback is more than welcome. There is still more than enough room for improvements. Also checkout the TODO file what I'm already planning - maybe you have ideas what I can add or what might be useful too! For instructions on how to compile / install it please read the INSTALL file included in t...

This is only a suggestion, but wouldn't it be nice to have the possibility to easily browse pictures online? If this is implemented, a click on the highlighted "next"-button, would jump to "......4.jpg" - And a click on "previous" will load "......2.jpg" What do you think?
